1. What is a one-day vignette?

The one-day vignette (1-Tages-Vignette) is a purely digital alternative to the traditional sticker. It is directly linked to the vehicle's registration number in the ASFINAG operator's database. This means you don't have to stick anything to your windshield or scrape it off upon return.

2. When is the vignette active?

Purchase „for today”: If you purchase the vignette during your trip, it will be valid from the moment of purchase until 11:59 PM on the same day.

Purchase „for a selected day”: You can plan the start of validity in advance. If you choose a specific date on the calendar, the vignette will become active from 00:00 and expire at 11:59 PM on that day.

3. Do I have to wait 18 days?

No – this is the most important information for tourists. Unlike 2-month and annual vignettes, the statutory 18-day consumer protection period does not apply to the one-day vignette. It is valid immediately after online purchase, because by transacting, you waive your right to a refund in favor of immediate activation.

4. Price – how much does it cost in 2026?

In 2026, the prices for the electronic one-day vignette in Austria are:

• 🏍️ Motorcycle: 3.70 €

5. How to buy and activate?

The process on Winiety24.eu is simplified to a minimum:

1. Select vehicle type (passenger car/motorcycle) and '1-day vignette' option.
2. Provide registration number and country of registration.
3. Set start date (immediate or future date).
4. Accept the waiver of the right to a refund for immediate activation.
5. Pay for the order (Blik, fast transfer) and receive a PDF confirmation by e-mail.

The vignette is visible in the ASFINAG online system immediately after receiving confirmation from us.

6. What about Sondermaut sections?

The one-day vignette (like any other) does not cover special toll sections (Sondermaut). For tunnels and passes such as A10 (Tauern), A13 (Brenner), or S16 (Arlberg), you must pay separately at toll booths or purchase a digital section toll.
