Which vignette to choose
for your vehicle?

Planning a trip abroad and wondering which vignette to buy? The choice of the right electronic vignette depends mainly on the vehicle type, destination country, and length of stay. Check which vignette suits your vehicle and avoid fines!

Passenger cars

For most passenger cars (up to 3.5 tons) a standard personal vignette is sufficient. In many countries, such as Austria or Slovakia, 10-day, monthly or annual vignettes are available. Choose the option that matches the length of your trip.

Motorcycles

Some countries require vignettes for motorcycles as well (e.g. Austria), while others – like the Czech Republic – exempt them. Check the regulations of the country before purchase.

Campers and buses

For vehicles over 3.5 tons, different rules usually apply – often road tolls are charged based on kilometers driven (e.g. Toll Collect in Germany). In countries such as Hungary or Romania, larger buses and campers may require a special vignette.

Vehicles with trailer

In some countries, trailers are subject to additional fees. Make sure whether the vignette covers the whole set or requires a separate fee. Tip: pay attention to vehicle categories (e.g. D1, D2, B2) and toll calculation methods in the given country.

FLEX section fee

This is a modern road toll system in Austria, offered by ASFINAG operator. It allows drivers to pass through selected highway sections and tunnels without the need to purchase tickets in advance or stop at toll booths.

Fetesti bridge toll

This is an additional road toll on the A2 highway in Romania. The toll applies to all motor vehicles, including passenger cars, vans, buses and trucks. Motorcycles are exempt from this fee.
