How to check the validity of a vignette in Switzerland (e-vignette / sticker)
A simple guide for drivers using electronic and sticker vignettes. We will show legal verification methods in the Via (FOCBS/BAZG) portal, how to read the confirmation, and what to do if you don't see your e-vignette. For comparison, we have also linked guides: Czech Republic vignette, what are electronic vignettes and Austria vignette.
The e-vignette is assigned to the registration number, and the sticker vignette – to the vehicle. Both forms generally cost CHF 40 and are valid for 14 months (December 1 – January 31). Controls are carried out by FOCBS/BAZG and cantonal police.
